Big news at the end!

But first, SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!
This week ive been thinking about a phrase "learning heaven" coined by Elder Wilcox in one of his talks.

"Christ’s arrangement with us is similar to a mom providing music lessons for her child. Mom pays the piano teacher. How many know what I am talking about? Because Mom pays the debt in full, she can turn to her child and ask for something. What is it? Practice! Does the child’s practice pay the piano teacher? No. Does the child’s practice repay Mom for paying the piano teacher? No. Practicing is how the child shows appreciation for Mom’s incredible gift. It is how he takes advantage of the amazing opportunity Mom is giving him to live his life at a higher level. Mom’s joy is found not in getting repaid but in seeing her gift used—seeing her child improve. And so she continues to call for practice, practice, practice.

If the child sees Mom’s requirement of practice as being too overbearing (“Gosh, Mom, why do I need to practice? None of the other kids have to practice! I’m just going to be a professional baseball player anyway!”), perhaps it is because he doesn’t yet see with mom’s eyes. He doesn’t see how much better his life could be if he would choose to live on a higher plane.

In the same way, because Jesus has paid justice, He can now turn to us and say, “Follow me” (Matthew 4:19), “Keep my commandments” (John 14:15). If we see His requirements as being way too much to ask (“Gosh! None of the other Christians have to pay tithing! None of the other Christians have to go on missions, serve in callings, and do temple work!”), maybe it is because we do not yet see through Christ’s eyes. We have not yet comprehended what He is trying to make of us."

Endure to the end does NOT mean "grit your teeth and wait to die" it means use his grace to keep growing. Please remember that. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

CAMBIOS!
IM GOING TO TRAIN!
That means im training a new missionary, already! And i am so excited! Ive been waiting for this pretty much since i got here.
But its also kinda sad cause im saying bye to the BEST DISTRICT EVER (#Artigas2) There were so many sick missionaries there. Sad to leave them.

THIS WEEK:
We are getting white-washed out of here so we had to prepare the area for that, had to say goodbye to a couple members and got some really sweet texts from them.

Now, I don't want you all to get the title wrong. This week was also one of the best weeks of my life, but I did so much, worked like 12 hours a day  6:30-10:30  exactly every day. So it was like I would end a day and be so surprised I'd gotten that much done in 24 hours (but to be fair I also wake up every morning like I've been hit by a bus). But first, SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!!! This week we saw 4 baptisms here in Delta del Tigre!!!! 🐯 It frickin amazing the ways in which the Lord blesses us when we choose to be humble and obedient, and thats what I want to talk about today in my... SPIRITUAL THOUGHT!! Jeffrey R. Holland died this week and he was my favorite apostle because he always cut to the chase and was an amazing teacher. And left me feeling humbled. That's so important, because when we understand how much we have to go and how imperfect we are at getting there we are more open to the help of the Lord and he is ALWAYS, i repeat, ALWAYS there to help us. So we can fulfill the measure of our existence and our purpose here on earth if we just LISTEN AND REPENT. If we change. If we grow. If we give in to the enticings of the Spirit. Week 1

I'm going to caveat this whole email by saying I'm outside on the street voice to texting this because the Wi-Fi is out in my house. Week one of Home MTC and week two of Mexico MTC have been amazing and eye-opening! Home MTC was rough with  7 to 9 hours  of Zoom a day I'll just leave it at that. Because I'm not typing I'm going to keep this short. Week two of Mexico MTC or CCM has been spiritually strengthening and super fun at the same time. The old school nickname stuck of "Fraz" but has evolved to "Freaky Friday Fraz" which is an interesting one to say the least. The views and weather here are wonderful, almlst better than newport ( nobody jump me for that comment). On Thursday we promptly made a teacher give us an hour and a half lecture on being respectful and not talking in class. On Friday we had red hairy chicken (it's exactly what it sounds like).
